We offer alternative dispute resolution services for a wide range of problems, including family (custody, visitation, child support, divorce, elder) and civil (landlord/tenant; contract; employment; neighbors; business).
ACMS also offers mentoring to mediators-in-training (see Mentoring page). Persons seeking Virginia state certification in general civil mediation can fulfill mentorship requirements by working on actual Small Claims cases twice each month (see Small Claims Dates page). Most general civil apprentice mediators are able to complete requirements within three months. Opportunities for family apprentice casework are much less frequent.
